Claire helps with a Thanksgiving craft + a photoshoot + the Grateful Blogger tag!

Hey! So, today I thought I would do the Grateful Blogger Tag because tomorrow is Thanksgiving! Also, Claire helped me do a little Thanksgiving craft and then I took her outside for a photoshoot! I hope you enjoy this post! ;)

I think we will start with Claire's photoshoot! I hope you like it! :)

Which one was your favorite?!

So yesterday, Claire and I were both sick so we stayed home, while the rest of the girls went to school. Claire was tired of just laying around, and she thought it would be more fun to beg me to do a craft with her. I finally gave in and tried to think of something Thanksgiving themed we could do. I think I saw this craft on American Girl Fan a year or so ago, but I don't think mine looks exactly like hers, if I remember correctly. Anyways, we decided to make little napkin holders and I think they are just the cutest little things ever! Claire wants to do some talking on this next part, so I'll hand it over to her! :)
Hey everybody! Claire here! Today me and mom made some cute little napkin holders! Mom said that since I wanted to do the craft so bad, I had to go gather all the supplies! It took me a while to find every thing, since I'm so tiny, but I got the job done!

Here I am cutting the paper for the napkin ring. I have no idea why mom took a picture of this, I guess she thought it was cute.

And then I'm wrapping the napkin ring around the napkin....blah, blah, boring!

Here I am with my finished turkey napkin ring!

I think it turned out looking adorable! What about you?!

Ok, here is the last thing for today, the Grateful Blogger Tag! Thanks sooo much to Hope, Carli G., Jessica Rae, Ella Louise, Rylee, and Ginny and June for nominating me!
  • Thank the person who nominated you, they will surely appreciate it! Also, leave a link back to the person who nominated you.
  • Write about ten things you are thankful for. Here is the tricky part though; you can't just say you are grateful for gum or video games or whatever "little" thing it is you want to discuss. Think deeply about what is really really important to you, such as family, or life in it of itself. Explain why you are thankful for those things.
  • Tag ten other bloggers; our goal is to tag everyone!! Comment on the blogs you nominate so that they will know that they were tagged!
  • Add the pic above to you sidebar or award page thanking the person (or people) who tagged you.
I am thankful for:

1. God.
I am sooo thankful for what God has done for me and continues to do for me each day. He has blessed me so much and helps me through life, even on the tough days.
2. My friends and family.
I am very grateful for my friends and family and all they do for me. They support me no matter what (at least my parents do) and I love them all to pieces. I have been blessed with such a kind and loving family who takes care of me and will always love me. I am so thankful that my none of my family is abusive or high on drugs all the time, or even smokers or drinkers. I am also thankful that nobody bullies me, not even people who aren't my friends.
3. That I'm not sick or dying in a hospital somewhere.
I am extremely thankful that I don't have any deadly disease and that I'm not laid up in some hospital where I know nobody, for months. That could happen to anybody at anytime and I'm so grateful it is not happening to me.
4. That I have a home to live in and food to eat.
I am really thankful that I have a nice house to live in with lots of space outdoors for photography and such. I'm  grateful that I have food to eat, and that I don't have to be starving and literally be dying of starvation.
5. My camera.
I am so thankful for my camera. Even though its not amazing quality, it still takes pretty good pictures. Without it, I wouldn't be able to share my love of photography with you all.
6. My beautiful dolls.
I am so grateful that I own 5 beautiful, amazing, and expensive dollies. ;P   I wouldn't be here talking to you today, If it wasn't for them. I love each one of them, and I am very content with them. :)
7. For all the little things people do for me in life, even though I may not notice.
I am very thankful for all the little things people do for me everyday. Especially the things my mom does for me. I don't even noticed when she's around, but when she and my dad go on a trip for a few days, everything goes wrong and I even end up forgetting my lunch! That's when I realize and stop to think about all the little things that I normally don't notice.
8. Nice clothing
I am really grateful for all my nice clothing and that I don't have to look trashy. I'm so glad that I have a buzillion outfits and like, 20 pairs of shoes.
9. Freedom.
I am so grateful for all the freedoms we have in the U.S.  We have so many freedoms that we don't even realize or ever think about. Those freedoms could be taken away from us at any minute and we could be like people in other countries  who don't have many freedoms at all.
10. Sewing machines and fabric.
I am very thankful for my sewing machine and fabric to sew with. Sewing is something I really enjoy doing, and I don't know what I would do all day without it! ;)
Anyways, I think that was "deep" enough, and I hope you guys read it all!

P.S. does anybody know why McKenna's tag says 2011 if she was the GOTY in 2012? Just curious... I just noticed it on her yesterday.
Thanks sooo much for reading!!!

  1. I love Claire's hair, and the turkey napkin rings are so cute! ^-^
Your list of what you're thankful for was so perfect; I loved all of it.
And that'd odd about McKenna's tag.. I've never noticed that before on my MK.
Maybe it's because they copyrighted her name/idea in 2011...?

    1. Awwww! Thanks so much Adi! I'm so glad you like it! :)
Ya, it's probably something like that! :)

    2. Yup,......AAAGGGEEEEEEDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;P, then probably Saige's tag sys 2012 on it =)=)=)=)

  2. Those napkin rings are super cute! About McKenna's Tag: Maybe it says 2011 because that was when the doll was manufactured. Just a guess.

  3. Nice pictures! I think it says 2011 because that is when the body cloth was made.

    1. Thanks so much! :D
Yeah, that's probably what it is! :)

  4. I like your answers!

  5. love the photos of Claire! Loved your answers for the tag. :D And for Mckenna I agree with Christian Homschooler. I am thinking that they may have started making her (the doll) in the year 2011 before she was released in 2012. Maybe AG was trying to stock up on her before the huge celebration for her coming out. IDK.
    Leah <3

    1. Thank you soo much Leah! Yep, it's probably something like that! :)

  6. Cute post! I wonder if Kanani's tag says 2010.

    1. Thanks so much! I looked, and her tag dosen't even have a year on it! :)

  7. Those pictures are all amazing, I'm not sure which is my fav! That craft is absolutely adorable, I love it!! You did a great job on the tag :) Hmm...maybe it is her date of manufacture since they had to start producing the dolls earlier on? I dunno, that's kind of strange :) I know my Nicki is Pleasant Company where my Molly from the same year is Mattel. Craziness!

    1. Thanks sooo much Ginny! You're so sweet! ;) Yeah, it's probably something like that. That's really weird! :)

  8. I love the photo-shoot.... like Ginny I have no idea which one is my favorite, they're all pretty!

Great craft too, you could even use it in real life.

  9. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the napkin ring!!!! I would sooo make this, but here in Australia we (well, I) don't celebrate Thanksgiving, so anything with a turkey on it would look odd... XD
    Ella xoxoox

    1. Thanks sooo much Ella! That's interesting! I didn't know that! Haha, yeah, it would probably look funny if you don't celebrate thanksgiving! :)

  10. I also nominated you for the Grateful Blogger Tag. Happy Thanksgiving! :)

  11. Yeah,........ Izzy's tag sys 2013 on it,...........If, you have noticed that.................. love the pictures!!!! =) Claire is adorable!!! ;P

    1. Oh, I didn't notice that! Thanks for telling me! Thanks so much! :)
