It was a rainy Monday, and Isabelle and Lanie were doing some last minute Christmas shopping. They were on their way home, and came across a cute little dress shop.
"Hey, Izzy, do you want to go to that dress shop over there? It looks like it has some really cute dresses for sale!" said Lanie.
"Okay! I still need to find a dress for my next dance recital.... maybe I'll find something there." Isabelle replied.
They walked into the dress shop, glad to get out of the cold and rain.
The little shop was called Katie's Dress Boutique.
As the door shut behind them, a bell rang, and the cashier looked over at them.
"Hello girls! Welcome to Katie's Dress Boutique! Have fun looking around!" the cashier called.
They headed over to the rack of dresses, an Lanie dove right in.
"Isabelle, come look at all there adorable dresses!" Lanie said excitedly.
Isabelle walked closer, not very interested in what was on the racks.
She glanced around, looking for a special dance dress. She didn't expect to find one here, since it looked like this shop only carried normal dresses, not dance dresses.
Isabelle glanced to her left, and saw a mirror. In the mirror she saw her face....and, was that something sparkly and pink?! Could it be....a dance dress?!
Izzy spun around and walked over to the dress, amazed that it was there! It was exactly what she was looking for!
Here was the gorgeous dress she had wanted, just waiting for her to buy!
"Lanie, come look at this dress!" she called.
Lanie walked over to admire the dress.
"Wow! That is sooooo pretty! How much does it cost?" Lanie asked.
In all her excitement, Izzy had forgotten to look at the price!
"Oh, I forgot to look...." She picked up the price tag and sucked in a breath. "It's $120!"
"Oh no, how are you going to buy that?! You don't have $120!" Lanie asked, very concerned.
"Mom doesn't have $120 to spend on a dress that you will only wear once! Maybe you can ask for it for Christmas, but that would probably be the only thing you get! Ughhhh! What are you going to do?!" Lanie ranted.
"I don't know, and even if I did ask for it for Christmas, it wouldn't matter because Mom had probably already bought all my presents!" Isabelle said disappointedly.
"Well, at least go try it on! I'm sure it looks really pretty on you!" Lanie told her.
"Alright, but hopefully that doesn't make me want it more." Isabelle responded.
They walked back to the dressing room, and Izzy tried it on, then walked out to show Lanie.
"WOW! Does that ever look stunning in you!" Lanie exclaimed.
Isabelle looked at herself in the mirror, admiring the beautiful dress.
She wished she could have it so bad, but soon had to take it off and put her normal clothes back on.
The girls walked up to the counter and gave the lady the dress so that she could put it back on the manikin.
As they walked out, the cashier called, "Thanks for shopping at Katie's dress Boutique! Have a nice day!"
"You too!" Lanie called back.
Isabelle was too absorbed in her own thoughts to respond to the lady, all she could thing about was that stunning dress. She decided that dress was what she wanted for Christmas, even if it was the only thing she got. That dress was her Christmas wish. ;)
Well, I hope you enjoyed the little photostory! I made the dress that Izzy wants, I just copied AG's version of Isabelles sparkle dress. :)
