Flower Crown Tutorial!

Hello everybody! Today I am going to show you how to make a flower crown for your doll! I hope you guys like this post! :)

Here is what the flower crown will look like when it's finished!

You will need:
Fabric of your choice
Stretchy fabric that coordinates with your other fabric
Scissors
Ruler
Sewing machine or needle and thread
Hot glue gun

To start off, cut three 1/2 inch wide strips of your stretchy fabric that wrap around your dolls head 1 1/2 times.

Hot glue the ends together.

Braid the strips and hot glue the other ends together.

Measure around your dolls head, cut off any excess, and glue the two ends together so that they form a circle. Set that aside.

Cut at least seven 2 1/2 inch wide and 5 inch long pieces of the fabric of your choice. I ran out of fabric so I only made seven flowers. If you want your flower crown to look like mine, you have to cut at least seven of these. If you want your flower crown to be completely full, you will need to cut 16-ish.

Then cut your pieces to look something like this.

Sew a line down the middle, making sure not to backstitch on either end, and leave the strings on either end long.

Now on each end there will be two strings.

Grab one of the strings and pull the fabric downward. Once you have done that, it should look like this.

Fold it in half so that the thread is in the center.

Then roll the bottom edge, hot gluing as you go to hold it in place. You can trim the long strings off now.
Your flower should look like this at this point. Trim any long or weird looking petals shorter or to your liking.

Then, glue it on to your braided piece.

Repeat these steps until your flower crown looks how you want it to and you're done!

Here is my finished product! :)
