You will need: some old socks, scissors and a sewing machine.
First, cut the top ankle part off like shown.
Next, cut the sock in half longways,
Then fold those pieces in half and cut them like shown so that you have four pieces from each sock. If your sock has a hole in it like my rainbow one, you will have fewer pieces because you have to cut the hole part out.
Option 1: using the toe of the sock
Flip the piece inside out and fold down your top edge making sure the sock is the length you want, and sew it down, making sure to stretch the top while sewing.
Then sew down the edge like shown, and trim off the excess.
Then try it on your doll and your done!
Option 2: using the other part of the sock.
Then sew down the edge like shown, and trim off the excess.
Then try it on your doll and your done!
Option 2: using the other part of the sock.
Sew down your top edge as explained above. Fold your piece in half and round off the edges like shown.
Sew around the place you cut and turn it inside out.
Try it on and you're finished!!!
Now tou have some adorable socks for your doll!
Which pair/pairs are your favorite?

ReplyDeleteCute! One question, what size sock did you use? Or does it not matter.

Thanks! I used a size 6-10 sock I believe, but I don't really remember what size they were. It shouldn't matter, as long as you're not using a little kids size sock! :)
